Period Supply Drive & Pizza Party
Beginning July 1st, #TeamCindy will team up with @accessperiodomaha and begin collecting menstrual supplies to be donated to those in need and to help raise period poverty awareness.
Supplies can be dropped off at 16626 Harney St. in Omaha. You may also contact the campaign to make arrangements to have donations picked up from you by a campaign volunteer (or maybe even Cindy!)
Or, bring your donations to our Pizza & Period Poverty Prevention Packaging Party on Tuesday, July 19th from 6:00-8:00PM at Cindy's home where we will eat pizza, enjoy each others company, package menstruation products, and learn more about period poverty.
"Access Period fights period poverty in Omaha, Nebraska through the thoughtful distribution of menstrual products. Because one in four people who menstruate experience period poverty, Access Period provides free menstrual products through the organizations that already serve our community. To create a sustainable solution to the problem of period poverty, we combat the stigma and secrecy surrounding menstruation by inviting our neighbors and local business leaders to take part in lasting change."
